Can anyone answer this ?
2007 Ultra w/ K&N backing plate & air cleaner, Super Trapp SE mufflers no other mods,
and I have Harley flash the ECM.
Can anyone tell me what parameters will change with their flash. Spark timing,Fuel mixture,Rev limmiter, all of the above none of the above something not listed above . Just would kinda like to understand what it is exactly , and is the correct name for this flash "stage one ecm upgrade" or what!
Please no gussers I'm sure someone out there knows !
Thanks Russ
Now if you do the stage 1 from the SEST then at least you can see the maps, BUT again, since there is no published data as to what stock is you have NOTHING to compare to and are only guessing still.
BTW, the DT down load is just as lean as stock but with pipes and A/C.
Don't worry about loosing your download if battery is disconnected. Stage 1 dwnld changes the VE tables and bumps up rev limiter to 6200 rpm. Air/fuel ratio won't change much if at all. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's right. From my experience there is a Stage 1 download w/parade mode enabled and one w/out. My first one had parade mode enabled but it started to early for me (230 oil temp). Parade mode shuts off rear cylinder at idle speed when engine reaches certain temp to try and keep engine heat from climbing too much. Make sure you know which one you're getting. Some don't mind it but I don't like it myself. Since you're not looking for every little bit of power that you can get, a download with exhaust and air cleaner are just fine. Without digging out my dyno sheet I got around 78 hp with my set-up. I think the dyno run cost $50. I was guessing a little over 80 hp and had to know. Oh well! If you do any engine mods a dyno tune is definately needed. Because I plan on new cams and higher ratio roller rocker arms in the future I decided to not do a dyno tune twice. Since you already have a SEAC keep an eye on the filter. Rubber base on mine started splitting after only 5k mls. Replaced with K&N HD-0800 filter from Autozone. Hope this helps. There's a lot of good info here on this forum if you search for it. Have fun, stay safe.
