Hi PhilM, very nice overall turnout. I am currently doing a zippers 124 kit in my StreetGlide. May I ask what your final drive ratios are (front and rear teeth) and what tooth compensator sprocket you are using? So much torque and power, did you gear it higher is what I am asking?

Congrats on your project too! I'll be looking forward to following your progress.
My 05 has the same primary & secondary gearing as your 06.
I am, however, running a Baker OD6 tranny. I do not recall off the top of my head which lower ratio option we seleceted, but I do know that it was the "numerically" lower ratio - knowing there would be more than eonugh torque to pull it.
I'm using stock compensator & clutch basket gearing, as well as front & rear belt pullys.
My setup is 1:1 final drive in 5th gear.
I do not think something like a 3.37:1 primary ratio would be a good (or necessary) option on a 124.

That's awesome & it's only next week! Tell Dave I said "Hey!"...
Be sure to let me know how it tunes out. I feel like I was there with ya on the build!
OK Mr PhilM, it has been a while since we have chatted and now I find out that your at it again. Awsome build and I would have not expected anything else. I also noticed that you were here in Cincinnati for the V-Twin Expo. You should have dropped me a line I go every year. I would have bought you a few beers for all of the help on my HQ build. I bet you are grinning ear to ear with this new setup. I see you are also running the same S&S dual intake I have on mine. Let me know next time you are anywhere close we'll go ridin.

****!!!! If I'd have thought of it, I sure would'a called! Note to self.....
That S&S intake is a SWEET unit ~ I really like it.
How did ya "locate" the backplate, with regard to the .500 holes & .375 breather bolts?
I ASSume you saw my reference to that earlier in this thread.
While working with Hurl, on his 107 build, he discovered that a short length of 1/2" copper tubing works perfectly, as it has a .375 ID.
