That's not neccesarily true. There are other ideas, like turning specific diameters and or in addition to the taper aligner. Think of how a stripper bolt aligns a stripper plate on a punch press assembly. Same concept.

Ok... I got the heavy diaphram spring installed in my Rivera Pro-Clutch, & now it holds.
I was able to go by Ed's last night and let him finish up my initial tune. The results were: 139/151. It rides and runs VERY nice. Ed did a fine job on the tune, as usual.
The "current config" is using a Boarzilla headpipe and a universal (Race Car) SuperTrapp muffler can with 13 disks and the open "RACE" end cap. I forgot to bring my disks, as I rode to work and went straight to Ed's. We did try running it w/o any end cap at the end, but it threw the tune way off & I didn't have time to hang around for a retune (even though he was willing).
Before anyone asks... "Yes", I am running a smaller cam than one might typically run in a 124. I already had the 590, and I frequently ride this bike on trips. For both of those reasons (not to mention that "dyno numbers" don;t mean dick to me) I stayed with the smaller 590, as compared to something like the TMan 662-2 or some of the mammoth Woods cams that end up in many BIG motors....
While I have a lot of tweak'n & test'n to go, I am very happy with the results.
I still have a number of additional pics to post, but it's time to ride now so.... It's gonna be a best effort on that front.
I bet there is someone out their that makes alignment screws for top end assemblies already. I bet harley uses some type of alignment pins/screws during factory assembly. I'm going to look for it. I don't want to waste my precious time unless I have to.

Hey Phil, don't know how I missed this thread, altough I have been spending more time on the other forum lately. Super numbers and as always , great pictures and write-up. I finally got my/your 120 up and going. I appreciate your calls for my build concerns too. Since T-man is less than an hour away from me, I would like to get him to do the final tune for me. It's running pretty well on the 113 map but would like to get it spot-on.
Again congrats. on another great build. Ride hard-ride safe.

Sorry guys, I missed these updates.
Actually, it would work but it would have to be a two step process. 1) align the boxes, as I always do (shown in pics, some pages back) and mount them. 2) Using the longer alignment pins, I could align then align rocker support plates.
I kinda like this idea.
Producer, I don;t have anything apart right now either, but have a couple starting soon ~ possibly this week. I will be in touch!
