Damn, I think I am in the minority, but SILVER. I like the silver so much that I had all my polished parts powder coated to match. Not exact since the original parts had 15k on them and the new parts looked, well, new.
I have never been a big fan of lots of chrome anyhow, but it is easier to keep the silver clean... unless it gets a gas stain. Man, the are impossible to get out.
I hate the Silver. I think it look's very cheap and ugly. I had an 01 Standard with the chrome engine kit and chrome inter primary and it still didn't look as good as the Black. After 20,000 miles the gaskets started to leak alittle and the silver started to look very Sh*ty. But what ever you get it won't make the bike run any differnt. Riding down the road you can't see the color of the engine anyway's. Right?
The silver has really grown on me on my EGS. I think it ofsets the black very well-add a few chrome bits here and there and you've got a great looking bike. I always had a problem keeping the black finish 'fresh'. After a while, it gets a milky tinge to it and you really have to be vigilant to keep it clean. I'd rather ride than clean....
black all the way my 01 rkc is vivid balack so it matches[perfectly. but its all preference whatever makes you happy as ./ long as its a hd . at least we have a choice
