The pushrods will turn with my index finger and thumb but they do not freely spin. I take it, just being able to turn them without much resistance is what you mean
I have similar questions. I bought my 01 flstc used and am diassembling. I have adjustable pushrods, but don't know the brand. I am assuming Screamin Eagle since the bike was mdified by a dealer. I have screamin eagle heads and a big bore kit. This is how I bought the bike.
I bring a piston to TDC and then adjust the pushrods on that cylinder. Once I am done with those two and they had bled down, I move to the next cylinder by turning the rear wheel until that cylinder is at TDC.
I found this to be the easiest way to determine which rod to adjust because once the cylinder is at TDC, the lifter IS on the heel of the cam.
Just got some S&S adjustable pushrods for my 2004 Twin Cam 88. I'm about to start the cam tensioner upgrade scenario.
I noticed that there are two long and two short pushrods in the package (I haven't cut the stock ones yet). Before I do, I'm assuming one size is intake and the other exhaust. Can anybody tell me which is intake and which is exhaust?
Thanks.
