Default Oil cooler adapter?

Does anyone know what size allen wrench is needed to screw in the oil filter adapter into the adapter assembly on the HD Oil Cooler? A 3/8" is too small and a 1/2 is too big. Same with #10 metric and #12 metric.
I had to put a 1/2"'er to the grinder and make one that would fit.

Well I guess I have a home made 7/16" now. Try buying one of those where I live.

7/16 is hard to find I made one using an extra long 1/4" nut in a 7/16 socket. It worked perfect.

I hear you--- I made one out of a socket extension with a grinder to get mine installed....

jag1886 did it the right way-- I didn't have a nut that would fit the id though.

I used a bolt with a nut run all the way on it then welded it. worked just fine.
Harbor freight carries a set for metric and sae at a low cost. Seems like the sets I got was $14 each

Default 7/16"

I bought a cheap 7/16 allen wrench, cut off a portion and stuck it in a 7/16 socket. Worked great. I tried the nut and bolt trick but it was too tight.
