Default arnott air ride

i just installed my arnott bilstein kit yesterday. the way the kit was labled and packaged made the install super easy! i only had one question and after a call to arnott got my question answered and was back at it. the kit and the way everything was labled was top notch. now the ride..... ive only rode it maybe 10 miles to show my dad but it didnt ride to great. i have a question for all the guys riding this same kit. do the airbags have to "break in" to get softer? and about what airpressure are you riding at? thanks! heres a pic of it aired out all the way i still have to lower the front when i get time. its stock right now.

The rubber does need some break in time, but the ride will always be a little harsher than stock, I ride at 45lbs solo,70lbs 2 up. Hope this helps.

i have the alden 12 " set on my 09 street glide i bought it for the lowering aspect .what i noticed when i set it at say 40 lbs. when i sit on it the pressure gage reads about 60 .
mine seemed to ride a little harsh at first but after a couple rides seems to have gotten a little better. still experimenting.did you get the gage ? so that you can see what your setting the pressure at .plus mine have the rebound controls for aditional adjustments

Which kit did you get? Bilstein ($599) or Alden($1199)?

I have had the Bilstiens for almost 2 years now, maybe they have gotten a little softer but not much I'm sure. I prefer the firmer ride over the "mushy" stock stuff. I know it rides better 2 up. Don't have air pressure gauge, want to add one but don't like the one from Arnott.

you know it does look a little cheezy .but after i put it on the bike it's not really that bad i mounted it just in front of the left side cover .the gage is a good thing to have .once you find that sweet spot you will know where to go with your pressure.

ride safe

I can't mount there because of heat shields... not sure where else to mount it? The one from Legend Air has a mount that bolts to the rocker cover like the HD oil pressure gauge for Dynas. I think I can mount that one...havent really looked into it yet, just a thought.

I ride solo and run 60 to 80 psi. If running too low the shocks tend to bottom out. As for the gauge I made a gauge pod and mounted it on my handlebars, works and looks great.
