I got a10'' flip up shield @ Christmas. I'm 5'10". It was a little tall for me. Called Matt. He offered to replace it. I said the order was my issue. I ordered a 9". Matt gave me a courtesyprice. The nine is perfect. I' 5' 10" 270lb. 2010 Ultra with the Hammock touring seat. Long rides NEW ultra shield looks really nice. Wish I'd seen that one. Lonf ride shields takes care of folks with a good product, fair price, & prompt service. I know that's a new concept, sure hope it catches on!!
Don't ask for a military discount!!!!! Matt said he would give me one, and he said pay full price and then he would refund me the discount. Multiple emails to them and still no refund. Don't buy from LRS, go buy some where else.
I just tried out my 10" recurve shield for the first time and am very happy with it. I am 6'3" and it seems to shoot the air right over my head while still looking over the top. Very happy with the quality, price and email/phone service. Seems like LRS is making a very good product.

Maybe your e-mails aren't getting to them as they have been great to work with. Try calling Matt on Mon. There were 50 testers for the x-stream and they did it the same way w a refund which everyone got. I don't know why they do it that way vs. just giving the discount up front. Give them a call, e-mails don't always get to where they are suppose to.
Got my shield, and it's great! Does what I wanted and looks good. I got my discount. Just put my user name for HDF in the comments and they discount on the invoice.
I bought the 10" Ultra from LRS and installed it yesterday. A BIG improvement over stock. I am 6' 1" and have no wind issues anymore. A great product at a great price.
i'm using the 10" long ride shield with the flip at the top, on my 08 streetglide and i could not be happier. it does not have any of that hard coating which once it gets a scratch, you're married to that scratch. with the long ride shields, the plastic they use is something you can polish the surface of unlike harleys stock shields,as the harley ones are hard coated. i'm very impressed with how it works, raising the windstream above my head, and i'm 6'-4" tall. perfect for me. it increased the cool factor also with the way my bike looks too. i'm sold on the longride shields, and matt, the guy who assisted me on the phone with ordering, he's a good guy.

Dude,
I just ordered my 9" ultra flip up on Friday....have all of 5 minutes worth of experience with Matt, and Alister...and I'm here to tell you they are great Americans! They were as helpful as their prices already are resonable. I'm retired army and (obviously) a member on here. When I mentioned that to Matt (in passing) he spoke up and told me to mention either in the additional comments section when I order it and I would get a discount. I spaced that out, but ya know what...the prices are already good. What are you talkin about man....maybe $5? If it's as great a product as everyone says, it's not really worth getting bent about is it?

P.S. I'll post some pics when I get my LRS installed!!!
