The person I spoke with at ACC told me that the recall is for EVERY DOT labeled helmet they have ever made.

Mines going back. I don't want any hassles if/when pulled over. I'm going to try the Vega helmet...

If I only rode in Florida then I would keep the two that I have. However I take trips into multiple States and I do not want the hassle of a Ticket. I believe they will make another DOT approved Helmet in the future which I will buy. Until then I need two replacement helmets and I do not see the point of leaving the equivalent of $450.00 on the shelf and having the cost of two new helmets. Mine are going back for the full Refund.

I don't have a dog in this fight. I think we all should be able to decide for ourselves what to wear or not wear. Good luck to all of you who are keeping your ACC helmets. My unsolicited advise is to send them back for the refund while the company is still solvent. However, for those who choose not to, they do so with full knowledge and understanding of what they are doing and risking.
