And as far as Harley MotorClothes go ...

I really wanted to buy a Harley leather jacket, but after checking them out up close and seeing those "Made in Pakistan, China, etc" labels, I just couldn't do it.

Harley logo or not, I went with the American made Fox Creek Leather jacket instead.

I know a huge part of my Road King - including all the steel! - came from China, but something about a classic American motorcycle jacket made in China on my back just hit too close to home this time.

Maybe I'll just get a Chinese made Harley patch instead.
You have no clue, HD have off shore content but that is a ignorant statment to say that all of the steel is of Chinese origin. And that is a fact.

I will be taking it back to see if I can get a refund. The 12 Volt Tour-Pak Power Supply (91671-10) also did not fit (I was able to modify it) and the instructions were wrong (to undo the tour-pak mounting plate in addition to the bolts the instructions talk about you have to undo the actual tour-pak mounting bolts and others). Wake up Harley! You make a lot of money on these accessories and this is not the 1st time.
My mid-frame air deflectors fit fine. yes, it takes the right tool to get one of the screws installed (ball end allen), but that only took about 30 seconds to figure out. I wonder how the many hundreds of deflectors I see on bikes were installed.

As was pointed out earlier, the power port was never designed to fit your '03.

Ken, I apologize for saying that you call yourself a 'dink" when in fact it is all others that call you a 'dink' (schlongman). As to living in clean air and drinking mountain-fresh water daily....well I guess I'll just have to put up with my lack of good sense. Nice sparring with you..now f.o. and go trade that piece of garbage you ride in for a new Gold Wing.

Another DUMB statement, Harley is sold world wide. I too hate that everything's not made in America, But there are some very good quality products made oversea's and cheap too!

First off, you are missing the point.

Secondly, I work at a US steel processing plant that buys the raw coils from Korea - not China. OK, you got me there. Does that make you happier that the steel come from Korea? Are you Korean? Sorry if I thought you were Chinese.

Finally, go buy an American leather jacket.

I dont know if I should be annoyed or Mad now. I just checked the Harley Catalogue using my year and model as the search criteria (just like it asks you to do) and up comes the power port as an accessory. Then I went in to check the detail and you are right, it is not designed for a 2003. Go figure. Lesson learnt.

Buyer beware. Now that my bike is "older" I make sure to check very carefully and in a number of places if the parts will fit my '02. If they don't and I still buy them, my problem.

Over-priced? Maybe they cost more in your area, but last time I checked around here they're comparable to GoldWings and BMW tourers. There's always the option of selling your HD and buying something of greater value & quality. Oh wait, the GoldWings had a problem with steering neck welds breaking and the beemers had shifter problems.

I guess they're all overpriced garbage.

So far the Chrome Passenger Footboard Brackets 53070-00A is the only H-D accessory that didn't mount correctly on my '09 Ultra Classic. There's no way to mount them according to the instructions. Other accessories, you need to read and pay a lot of attention to other part that may be need to complete an installation. I'm convinced H-D planned it that way. Most of the parts guys at the dealer either don't know or don't voluntarily give up information freely for some reason.

For example: The parts guy at Chicago H-D told me there were no Spun Aluminum Gauges for my '09 Ultra Classic. I also wanted to order everything I needed to install an XM module in my Ultra Classic. I got everything except the Overlay Harness 70164-06.
