Okay...I gotta ask the question that has been asked a thousand times
I am ordering my rinehardts tomorrow, true duels. I plan on installing the pipes myself and taking it to the dealer for re-mapping. What else do I need to do or get? The bike is injected. Now on the wifes bike I installed her Vance and Hines big shots and I knew it had to be re-jetted and the dealer suggested putting on the screaming eagle breather. Will the samething be needed for my SG? Fuel injected bikes are new to me, my old scoot I just re-jetted it myself and plug tuned it but did get it on a dyno and was almost right on but this is a whole new animal to me. Thanks guys.

More air in, more air out. You usually do not HAVE to do a remap for pipes only, but you may find yourself running lean. Bikes run lean new and adding the pipes only makes it worse. I would definitely add a high flow air intake to the bike prior to the remap. i would also strongly recommend either a PCIII or SERT for the remap. I have never had a stock HD remap dumped in, but have heard nothing good about them. The PCIII or SERT will allow the dyno tech to accurately dial in the air/fuel mixture at all rpm settings, as well as resetting the rev limiter.

I would go for the air cleaner too. My Ultra with the download still ran lean and had a ping at lower revs but the SERT tune took care of it. Its a little pricey, but worth it in the long run. Just mu .02

So what did you do with the other bike you had before? You gonna trick out the glide the same? But to your question you may have to remap after adding a/c. I actually did a 95 build with a/c and 2 in 1 thunderheader but have not remapped. Bike runs fine for me. All the torque I can handle for now. But with an 88" with an a/c would totally change how your fuel is managed or mixed with the more air it will get with an a/c. hoped I've helped man. Michael in Oregon was here too.

Sold the old bike and actually the guy is flying in today to pick it up. I won't be doing allot to the glide, mainly pipes breather maybe PCIII or SERT and that will be about it. I have to keep this bike practical for daily riding to work and school.

I ordered my Rinehardt true duels today and PCIII. Gonna go with the SE air intake. I'm not really worried about trying to gain big HP numbers but to just get the bike running good for me and the old lady to putt around on. The pipes are supposed to be here Tuesday and I'll post some pictures once I get it done. Thanks for the help guys.

BadX,
One thing to remember after you bought your Rinehart, make sure you buy a high temperature silicone for the O2 port plug. I lost mine while riding, and it was not a pleasant experience. Cover the plug's threads with silicone and torque it well. Let the silicone dry before firing up your engine.
