i'll agree that a 6.5 lookin thru it would be kinda difficult. mine is an 8.5 and its distorted makes the lines look twisted on the sides of the road... sawyer pm sent as well... if i dont swap mine i may just trim it down bout an inch so its out of my line o sight. looks like all i gotta do is shorten the end it bolts in at
I'm 5'10". Lowered the front end 1" and 1" in the back. Also have a low profile LePera Villian Seat. Bottom line, its not going to work for me. Anyone interested please send me a message. Brand new, dark smoke 6.5" Klock Werks BatWing Fairing. $135.00 + shipping.
I've got the 6.5 and the 8.5 Klock Werks. I prefer the look of the 6.5, but I get that occasional bug in the forehead with it. The 8.5 is absolutely perfect for performance, never any bugs, but just doesn't look quite as sharp in my opinion. Short ride, less than 400 miles = 6.5", long rides, anything over 400 miles in a day or a nice trip = the 8.5".
He got his data from actual tests in a wind tunnel. Watch the video. How dense can you be???
About as dense as you are being thinking that people on here give a **** about your OPINION. If the guys, myself included, are ok with our 4" stockers, how does it affect you in any way? Are you trying to justify your spent money that badly that everyone who doesn't buy a KW shield is going to die because of it? Spend your money on your shield, and I will spend my money not on one. Jeez.

Lowering the suspension will not affect the height of the shield. The low profile seat will alter your position in relationship to it. I do not want a shield that I have to look thru. I want to be able to look over mine.
07' Street Glide, black with custom paint, I am 6'1," stock height seat. The stock SG shield looks great but is a joke! I just bought the 7" Long Rides Ultra in a medium smoke. The shade and size are perfect to preserve the reason I bought a SG, it's looks! It works equally as well as my ugly 9" HD. I have a fair amount of bucks in my bike so looks are important, add functionality and we're in business. Matt at Long Rides is excellent to work with, bought on Tuesday, riding Friday! To sum it up, despite the excellent cost savings over other alternatives, this shield rocks! My 9" HD is literally in the dumpster, no use for it! If you have concerns for added stability, get a Performance Engineering chassis stabilizer, installs in 20 minutes and currently costs $140 delivered on ebay. Add pipes, intake and a Super Tuner tune, any other chrome you want, and you are set.
