No rubbing, you will be fine. What tuner do you have?

Stock performance at low rpms is one thing, losing low rpm performance due to the wrong cam is another. I know from my early days in hot rodding the easiest way to make a fast car slow is to put in too much cam.

Alot of the SE-211 "lack of bottom end" theory is well justified in the 88 CID Twin Cam era. I have installed his cam on modern 96" + TC's, with the Delphi FI and the increased swept compression that the larger displacement provides, and it is a great performance cam. It's not an SE-255 bottom end cam by any means, but it is way more fun to ride than a 255.

My $.02

I have Andrews 26 in my 05 88TC along with stage one intake and the older stage one slip ons and the SE pro Tuner. How would any of these compair to my setup as far as idle note and performance?

As I recall, the 88s rolled out at about 8 1/2:1 compression. The 211 would have been very soft in that motor at low revs. At 9.2:1, the 96 is already way ahead. I've never plugged 211 cams into any stock motor, so I can't speak from experience there. I have ridden them in a 95 at 10 1/4:1 static compression and they were stellar. I'm considering them for my motor when I up my compression. Right now, I'm really happy with my 204s.

Andrews 21, 26, se203 and 204 frequently get mentioned in the same sentence. There would be more differences due to exhaust than due to cams with any of these.

Idle note, the only one of the four with a pronounced lope is the 204.
