No, I chose to not do any modifications to the crank. I'm not hard on engines and don't see a need for these types of upgrades for my situation. Time will tell. This bike will not be drag raced, wheelie popped, or see any massive burn outs. It's my daily rider and needs to be reliable, thus I don't abuse it.

It has a little more vibration at idle than my stock motor, but smooths out with rpm. The power/torque curve is what I meant by smooth.

Oil cooler sounds like a good option to consider here.

What clutch setup are you guys using?

That's a big gamble on an expensive motor.A simple down shift can cause wheels to shift;you going to say you don't downshift either?? lol

I just wonder if the crank issue is really an issue with this beast. The high price most pay for crank welding, truing, and balancing, with labor, cost almost as much as the motor itself. I would take a wait and see attitude and see if all the naysayers and gloom and doomers are wrong about this as they were a few months ago, saying nobody would ever get the published numbers posted for the 120R.

I'm anxious to see how this engine works out also. I plan on putting one in my next bike. Local dealership is getting one in today. I'll have to see what they say about it. It's going in a guy's bike I know. Maybe I can talk him into letting me take it for a ride.

Did you guys switch over your stock intakes and such to the new 120?

If you buy the motor with a new bike, wouldn;t warranty cover it?
