I just wonder if the crank issue is really an issue with this beast. The high price most pay for crank welding, truing, and balancing, with labor, cost almost as much as the motor itself. I would take a wait and see attitude and see if all the naysayers and gloom and doomers are wrong about this as they were a few months ago, saying nobody would ever get the published numbers posted for the 120R.
For the record, I am not a gloom and doomer but I am curious about the motor in two ways: longevity and vibration. Mostly the vibration because earlier in this thread (if I remember correctly) I read that it vibrated more than the stocker. And, of course, longevity is key. But I'm certainly not part of the crowd that proclaims that this motor is a grenade with the pin pulled. I think it's great to have another high power motor option that is relatively inexpensive.
I'm no doom gloomer either, but reality is it's a race motor. It's for the track.can you buy it for the street, yes.Go to the track ,& ask around how many of them run motors without welded cranks!! I bet you not 1 of them!! Your money, your call!!! It's a big investment to take that kind of chance with!!!
YOUR dealer may, but read the Screaming Eagle catalog, for "race only" engines, Screaming Eagle, or the MOCO WILL NOT warranty this engne. My Dad just had one installed in his trike two months ago, and his dealer told him flat-out, there is no warranty on this engine.
I'm probably gonna get me one of these motors. I need to sell my 96 in. first if any body need one or knows someone who does. Its out of a 2009 SG and has a headquarters 525 cam, new lifters and pushrods and timkin bearings. New parts have about 1500 miles on them the original motor has about 7500 miles on it. It dynoed 99/101 after new cam was installed. PM me if interested....will make a good deal on it.

You got 99hp/101tq out of a 96" with just cams and no headwork?
SE120R Kit versus Crate, added SE roller rockers and timken bearings. built by Bluesprings Harley-Davidson of Bluesprings Missouri
Cost is very close to the crate, but you know who's building it and you get to make any modifcations you want along the way. I did very little modification from the stock kit as you can see, because the guys at Bluesprings HD were confident they could produce solid numbers reliably with the base kit. They pulled through and I believe there is more hidden HP on the top end if I allowed them more time with the bike.
This engine is exactly what I feel the streetglide needed for a powerplant. It has smooth responsive power curve with effortless acceleration. I can not stress enough it's fast for a 900lb touring bike.
That is some serious power you got there congrats! I know guys that spent upwards of $14k for 124" with all top shelf parts that ain't even making that!

You're correct, it'll all depends on your dealer and their policies.
