In post 162, ThunderBueller quotes a previous post with installation suggestions. The best one is to clip the zip tie at the terminated wire end and cutback some of the conduit to provide more free wire to install in the 35 wire connector.
However, another suggestion is to remove the red "wedge lock" to insert the 5 terminated wires. Just a heads-up--the manufacturer says to NEVER remove the red wedgelock from the connector. Go to this link and click on installation instructions from the manufacturer:
I just installed the iPod module and the installation went fine, including installing the 5 teminated wires into the 35 wire connector w/o removing the wedge lock. Cutting the zip tie and cutting back the conduit were essential--don't know how anyone could insert the terminated wires w/o doing so.
i would guess that they don't have it in stock right now. the hdplus system is actually made by onthemovetechnology.com but you can buy it from iron cross audio for a discount.

We are also out of stock, but expect them in by the end of the week.
We are currently taking advanced orders and offering the following:
Received my backordered hdpdplus from Iron Cross yesterday and put it in today, I have to say that Maria and Iron Cross were a pleasure to deal with. Everything that she said she would do, she did. Although I still haven't decided exactly where I want to put the Ipod, installation was a breeze. I haven't been able to roadtest it yet, but everything appears to be working correctly.
Bottom line, the unit works the way it is advertised and the company does business the way it should be done. They will get my recommendation, and my business, if I ever have need of any items that they sell.

Thanks Waybo.
And thanks for everyone who pre-ordered.
All those orders have been filled and the units are on the way.
Yes, the HDPDPLUS2 units are in stock.
Better pigtail connector. Longer and no need for the awkward connector block anymore. 3.5 ft cable for everyone using handlebar mounts and not wanting all that extra cable coiled up in the fairing.
We also have the new Saddlebag Quick release kits in stock. 7 foot cable that goes from the module to the saddlebag (grommet attached), with a 20 inch iPod cable that attaches inside the bag. Makes installation easier and removing the bag a snap. This kit will work with both the HDPDPLUS2 and the original HDPDPLUS
We have the HDPDPLUS2 at $250
The Saddlebag Quick Release Kit at $55
