The number of posts complaining about any item online is not representative of the overall quality of said item.
Online forums such as this tend to have a high proportion of complaints. This tends to magnify or over state the extent of the problem.
Yes, there were a high number of posts about the 06 including the radio. I had none of those problems with mine. Just as I have had no problems with my 03 Heritage Classic.
My stance on any major revision to a product line is to wait a bit unless there is an immediate business need to upgrade / replace a unit.
Yes but also remember that the number of online complaints is only the tip of the iceberg, as a lot of the 07' owners don't even subscribe to this forum so one doesn't really know how widespread the problem is.
Or how small either. This could be debated back and forth til the 08's hit the showrooms.
What do you care you have a 06 , right ? To me you sound upset because you bought a 06 not knowing about the upgrades to the 07's no one did , GET OVER IT !! Only thing you should be mad about is the fact that when H-D comes out with a new motor package like this the value of the "old" moter bikes goes down , thats a fact jack.

Someone on here was raisin he!! the other day about how all of the '06 guys are crackin on the '07 model bikes. Well......I just flipped over to the 2nd page and there are like 5 threads about..." 07 problem" or "My 07 does this" or "My 07 does that" Dont bust us for talkin smack, unless we are talkin smack. Sounds like the 07 models do, in fact, SUCK! Yes, we told you they would, but you bought them anyway! I, for one understand that new products often do, SUCK! Dont take it so hard, they will eventually get all the bugs worked out of 'em. But seriously, a spade is a spade, and so far, the 07's are turds. It's not a personal attack. I am really surprised that for once, I made a good decision in keeping the '06. I do wish all of yall with '07 bikes the best of luck.....after all.....they are all Harleys....
Very well said !!! Thought the same thing I would be upset if I bought a 06 to find out its stock just dropped keep dumping money into your 06 to catch up nogood

What a crock of crap, bet if you want to count posts, there are a twenty in the last 2 months on the 06 problems to every one on a 07. The truth, the 06 is a lame duck, only year to come with catalist mufflers in all 50 states and everyone that bought one feels Harley screwed them by not letting the cat out of the bag on the 96" and 6 speed they could have had if they waited a few months, Sour Grapes pure and simple. LOL
OK, if all of us 07 owners agree with you will that than make you happy. Lets all give him a big ah, we are sorry you bought a 06 and now are bitter and jealous cause you can't have an 07. You seem to be unhappy (the look of your signature picture) with your bike and are trying to push that unhappiness on the 07 bikes. Too bad it's not working no matter how many times you say it or how many times you wish it was so. 07's "Suck" , 07's are "turds", wow do we have 07 envy or what.
Can't we all just get along. Oh and by the way you seem like you should be such a nice person by that cutesy, friendly picture of you standing by your old outdated 06. Now this is all IMHO Remember "Smack is as "Smack" does.
Proud to ride a Harley no matter what year or problems it may have.
He's only doing this to rile you guys up...sheesh. Welcome to the forum.

Well, since I ride a 96 (1996 that is), I am not too upset about the good changes that Harley kept secret from all the 06 buyers. Don't be so sad and jealous. The 06s are good bikes. Just not as good as the 07s. I know six guys with 07s and they love them, as they should. I have an Evo and don't remember being upset about the TC88 nor am I upset about the TC96. However, unless the s*** hits the fan financially, I will be getting an 07 TC96. First year problems are vastly overstated. I have been around too long and heard that too many times to let that be a concern. Been there too many times with good results. Ride on, you 06 owners, a Harley is a Harley. They're all good.
Seems like the '07 guys are unusually defensive/edgy. Ball bustin' will not be condoned! Just line 'em up on the starting line and the first one to finish...without a breakdown...WINS.[:@]
Just at a local dealer they are offering a $1000 rebate or a free 95 inch upgrade on the GOOD 06's no b.s. seems they are having trouble getting rid of them .
