2010 Road King Handlebars
I just want some pullback on my bars to be able to sit more comfortably. I'm 5'8", and from what I've read, the Heritage bars would be a great fit for me - however, there are I guess different years that may or not be right for the 2010 RK's... The part #'s I could come up with are 56902 and 55864... but could someone please clarify which of these, if either, would be a good fit for my 2010 RK? I don't want to spend a lot of money on handlebars, I just want to sit upright, I don't need a custom fit, just a more comfortable fit. I can adjust easily to most anything, as long as it's a decent fit.
I called the dealer and asked for advice on which Heritage bars, and all the parts guy said was, that there are so many handlebars to choose from, and then he quoted some for something like $169 or something... I know some can be purchased for under $100... again, handlebars are not something I would want to spend a lot of money on to customize my bike. I'd rather spend $ on other things.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Tough choice.
Good luck.

Just try to be there for the instal so you can sit on the bike and they can pull them back or push them forward to wherever you like, if not they might want to hit you with labor later on to adjust them.
Unless of course you have the tools and know how to adjust them yourself, then it's a non issue.
I wasn't crazy about them at first, but yesterday put new grips which are larger in diameter and for whatever reason this helped with the discomfort I was getting in my wrist and elbow of my right (throttle) hand.
Good luck.
BTW- the ones in my pic aren't them, I need to update the pic.
Hopefully I can them done this week, if work permits.
btw, the HD part # for the Heritage Style bars that fit a 2010 Road King is 56902-08 (I hope they fit well).
Thanks!

Took a few trips to get use to them, and I'm more comfortable grabbing them out towards the outside makes for a better wrist angle for me.
Let us know when you get them on.

I did it myself, took my time and probably took me about 2 hours total. The install itself was not difficult, just time consuming. I installed new grips as well.
Now the bad news... I think I pulled a wire or something, and my front right amber light won't come one... the turn signal works fine, but the running (dimmer) amber light won't work. I swapped bulbs with the left, and it still won't work on the right. Everything else works fine. Actually, honestly, I don't know if the light didn't work before I did this... I'm assuming it was a result of my messing around in the headlight bucket, but I could be wrong.
