Default Cams?

How big of a deal is it to change out cams on a 103?
I am of above average mechanical skills but wonder if I should dive in.

Do it the same way as a 96.

Autozone rented me an inside bearing puller for the inside bearing.

The inner bearings on the newer motors, they have 1" bearings, are not prone to the failures that in the older motors, they had 7/8" bearings, and even Andrews only sells the caged bearings in the 1" size not the full complement. Change the bearings yes, but to worry about whether they are the caged(Oem) style or the full comp style is kinda silly unless someone thinks they know more than Andrews.

that's the one. They're available from Amazon or any number of other places. Probably cheapest locally if you have a bearing supply store.

You say "newer motors", would that include the 09s?
