Default Primary cover fitment?

I have a 2008 FLHTC that went down on the left side, scratched and dented the primary cover so there is a slight leak at the bottom of the derby cover. Will a primary cover from a 2007 Ultra Classic work as a replacement? How many gaskets am I looking at to replace in doing this? Any tips are appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it will work, you will need the outer primary gasket and a derby cover gasket.

A tip for ya is to put in the SE comp and check things out with your tensioner while you're in there!

Dawg, Is the 2010 tensioner a better design? I am going to replace the comp, do I need to upgrade anything else?

Does anyone know how many ounces of tranny fluid I need to use when I change the primary cover and the gaskets? Also is there a decent aftermarket brand that I can pickup at the local Autozone?

38 oz. Don't go any further unitil you get a service manual. JMHO.
