Ordered a set of shocks yesterday. I went with the Gabriel's. Bought them off of Amazon for $61 with free shipping. Amazon said there were 2 sets left if anyone needs them.
I'll order the compressor and other parts this week. Soon as it gets colder I'll start on this project. Still riding some right now. Can't wait to get started.
From what I have read the Monroe's lower down about a 1/4 inch more. I went with the Gabriel's since they were aleady black and hopefully the 1/4 inch difference will keep the tire from hitting the fender.

So if I am reading everything correctly, the Monroes lower the bike more than the Gabriels at full down??

Got ya, I am not concerned about that as I will be running a bad dad rear fender which I believe will give me quite a bit more clearance.
I am going to create a thread to see if anyone has run a lowering kit as well as the air in the rear...

LOL my monroes are black. I got them because the Gabriels were white! Monroes have 1/8" clearance on my 05EG.
I'm having a hell of a time trying to find fittings locally. What kinds of places carry them? I don't want to order on-line and either order wrong ones or not enough..

Local NAPA has most of them here. Places that have heavy duty truck parts should have them also. Sizes you need are most common on air shifters.
