DuraGlide, I have seen your setup. Looks great! Can you take the time to explain how you wired it up? While your at it can you explain how the air hoses are ran. Im just confused on what the silenoid does and if you need a relay, and how you hook the cvo switch up.... and how does the system dump the air. It's just not clicking with me yet without some serious instructions.. Appreciate all your time and feedback,
Soleniod holds air in the lines to the shocks. Compressor has a back pressure check built in so the air is trapped in the shocks and lines. Solenoid opens to dump the air. Relay is to supply power to the compressor due to the amp draw on it. Solenoid draw is less so I don't run a relay there. CVO switch supplies power to either the compressor relay or the soleniod dump valve.
Clark I will be starting this mod in the next few days. Just received most of the parts. Still trying to figure out the best and set up from the compressor to the distribution block.
I will try and capture everything I do with pics and parts by number.
Coleman has been a huge help with information on identifying parts.
Compressor......4 way.....Left side of 4 way to left shock.....right side to right shock.....straight out the end to solenoid valve aka dump valve. I ran a line up to the solenoid valve which I mounted in the hole between the tank and battery. Dump valve can go anywhere you choose to put it.
where they have a pressure switch you will have a toggle.
power+ from battery goes to one of the big lugs, doesnt matter which one, small lugs are 12v & ground to make the relay close
By doin the install quality controll is in your hands. Use the monroe or gabriels, brass fittings and you'll be fine. The Viair compressor is the same as Arnott uses i believe.
Where do I get the fittings? What sizes/styles do I need? I think Home Depot has some of that stuff.. I'm trying to get as much of the parts before I start.
