Just installed this kit about 2 weeks ago and it rides a little stiff but haven't played with the pressure yet. Some of the guys here in town have said that on they're homemade kits, they drilled a small hole in the shock and bled some of the fluid out and that really improved they're ride. Has any one heard of this before???
Dude you really shouldn't post up videos like that without some type of disclaimer! Somebody could get hurt!
Hey fellas, I saw a few pages back someone inquiring about a handlebar mounted switch. I found a company that has a switch housing that fits nicely, specially for non-fairing bikes like the RK.
Diggity, I have the Gabriels 49304 and they are too stiff so I like your idea. Went to their site where they show how to drain shocks for disposal. They say drill a small hole in the body & put a rag over the bit to catch the escaping gas, then keep drilling to get to the oil. Makes me think there are 2 chambers. Would be nice to know exactly how the home boys are modifying their shocks to let out only oil ??

I used the Gabriels too. I think the guys here are using the monroes. Not sure if that would make a difference in removing fluid. I'll see what I can find out, but I was just wondering if any one else out there had heard of this or was doing this?
Has this kicked anyone elses ***? I'm on my 2nd weekend trying to get this to work and I'm not having a lot of luck. I'm currently stuck on finding fittings to hook the lines up. I couldnt find fittings to get the lines that came with the shocks (Gabriel) to hook to the brass 4-way I bought on ebay, so bought fittings and 1/4" line, and NOW I can't find anything to hook the 1/4" line to the shocks. I've tried Lowes and now Ace hardware and my bike is still in pieces in the garage. Anyone in Vegas pull this install off?
