All parts either ordered or here. For the gauge I ordered the Viair 10061 dash panel kit with intention of taking the gauge out and mounting it somewhere in the fairing. Gauge kit and compressor from Horn Blaster via Amazon.
Dump valve as above from ebay. Went with Monroe shocks from Advance Auto with 2 year warranty.
I'll post some pics when I get started on this but between waiting on parts and work, that will be a few weeks.
Question for those who have moved the ECM to put the compressor under the right side-cover, where did you move the ECM to? I don't have ABS so there is plenty of room under there if I relocate the ECM.

Lilman, mine is a 2010 without ABS. If you do some trimming on the the box where the ABS goes, it will ALL fit right there in that space, you do not need to move anything!
Im still not completely satisified with my set up, my only complaint is to get the pressure where i feel the ride is good and i dont bottom out, my shocks are close to full extension.
When i measure them from eye to eye, i get almost 14 3/8"!
Could some people measure their's to see what you get.
Im running the Gabrials.
Im trying to find a shock that only extends to 12.5-13"
Thanks wolfman, I did a little looking yesterday afternoon and see where you're talking about trimmimg. I'll be able to look more when all my parts are here.
I'm going to try the monroes, hope my success will be as good as some of the others. I prefer my ride a little firm and have actually changed my fork springs to firm up the front end.
Next few weeks I have several work trips all over the country so it may be a month before I have time to even get started on this little project. I hate it when work gets in the way of what I want to do!
the shocks on my 09 ultra are also over 14" and have found that they need to be well inflated to get a good ride but then hit the mufflers. i've asked gabriel to tell me whether the bottom tube contains air or oil but i guess they think it's some kind of secret (i wanted to shorten the tube & re-weld to change max length to about 13-1/4". am now working on a slotted link to mechanically limit the travel. the link will fit over the shock on the inside and slide on a shoulder bolt as the lower mount and clear the axle nut by a whisker (i hope). al
I saw the DD and AZ gauges, was kinda looking for something a little smaller. Wish I had the $$$$$ to change everything over to Dakota!
Didn't see your post until today. I did the whole Dakota gauge deal on my '08 UC a few years ago. Then I traded the bike a few months later. It's a big job, but I liked the result, and those gauges can be set to do a lot of fun things, including calibrate the speedo to read accurately.
