Well, after a few miles last night (cut short due to thunderstorm) and quite a few more today, I need to do a bit more investigation before being even remotely happy with this setup.
I did manage to get a pressure dialed in where the ride and handling were quite good but something doesn't feel right. It feels like something is loose in the *** end, you can feel it in the seat on any bumps small or large. However, I know nothing is loose. Rechecked torque on everything before going out this morning and again when I got home. Even put it up on the lift with no air and checked everything. Not sure where this is coming from. Seems to be worse since I put on the limiting straps but it's not hitting the limits. May actually be in the Monroe shocks themselves.
For now, I'm going back to my 12" Harley shocks. We have about 750+ miles of riding this weekend and I don't want to work on anything while doing it.
Does anyone know if you can buy just the Bilsteins from Arnott? Or do you have to buy the whole kit? Guess a spare compressor is not a bad idea...

The process continues...
I have this same issue but I am just trying to ignore it...It does sound like something is loose and flopping around when I have little air in it. I have been thinking about going back to my stock shocks also and just tying in my stock shocks with the air system. Still deciding though
Mine has a pretty bad vibration since the air ride install. At highway speeds I can see my eyes are jiggling and everything looks blurry. Everything is tight and I dont see anything hitting. Not sure what's going on.
coolerman69, I don't have any vibrations just a feeling in the seat something's loose. Kinda like an old Chevy truck with control arm bushings worn. Or a ball joint that's just on the edge of worn out. You can feel it, just a little on occassion when riding but moving things by hand on the lift, can't find anything.
I can guarentee mine are on there correctly, I've been building custom stuff and modifying bikes and hot rods over 30 years.
It actually feels like a valve or something in the shocks when they rapidly change direction. Smooth blacktop it's hardly ever felt but get on a gravel road and it's almost all the time. I have the Monroe's not sure if Gabriel is any different.
I'll figure it out, just don't have time right now. Got about 3 projects going on plus my full time engineering job!
got a question has anyone tried to put a 1"lowering kit on the bottom of these shocks, i ask because the sweet spot on mine is about 3/4 the way up and that ride height is a little tall for my taste, just wondering

I have the monroes also and i haven't experienced your symptoms. I suppose its possible you have defective shocks!
could it be your belt is loose because your not airred up enough....i have noticed that when i am airred down some i can feel my belt slapping, but i never ride airred out, just moving around the driveway.
