What is the amp rating for that switch...do u run a relay with it?
I run a relay on the compressor side of that switch but not on the dump valve side. Compressor operates longer time and pulls more amps so I figured it was cheap insurance. Switch will probably last forever working thru a relay.
Just did an 03 RK tonite and I put it above the fusebox on the left side
Alright all of my stuff is in. I started on it tonight. No way is the compressor going to fit on the left side, my cruise control box is there. So it looks like I'll need to install it under the battery box.
I started taking it apart so that I can get the battery box out...can somebody confirm that I'll need to pull the rear wheel off to get what appears to be the last screw going through the fender to the bottom middle of the battery box?
I got it off with out pulling the wheel. Did put it up in the air so the wheel is dropped as far as it would go. I think I got it from the belt side (it has been a few months). It was tight but doable.
So I just finished my install. Below is a video I just made and put on youtube.
Aired up all the way I do have an interference, but I'm not worried about it since I'll never ride completely aired up. Right now I'm checking for leaks. I've found one so far with soapy water, but am still loosing about 8# of air/hour. I haven't found any others yet, but I'm still working on it. Overall I'm happy with how it came out. Putting the ECM below the battery box was MUCH easier than trying to get the pump below there.
Thanks for everyone that contributed to this thread. I was able to order all of my parts before hand instead of starting/stopping for a parts run a few times throughout the project. The hardest part of the entire ordeal was getting the battery box out in order to mount the ECM below it. Other than that it was a snap.

Yeah I've got everything but the shocks on the larger 1/4" tubing then Y'ing into 1/8" right before the shocks. I've got a muffler for the dump valve on order and will install that to slow it down after it gets here.
I also think I have all of my leaks fixed. It's been holding 80# steady for over an hour now without loosing a single pound. I did a short test ride and so far so good.
