Thank you all for your opinions... It was very helpful...
I went down to the dealer today as they had my King ready (the new Python Viper slip-on's sound great... well worth the money!).
I had ordered the reach seat that put me 2.5 inch closer. Turns out I was too close for comfort when I sat on it (my thighs were really hugging the tank). It wasn't going to work. Luckily, they had another reach seat in stock that only moves you .5 inches closer. It was just low and narrow enough for me to get my heels on the ground without having to straddle the tank. We made the swap... same price so no difference there. I think I'll be in good shape for next season now.... Sadly, it's time for the bike to hibernate for the winter. I won't get any saddle time until the Spring.....
Thanks again for all of your input!
Congratulations on the bike and glad to hear you found a seat that works for you. I share your pain, took delivery of my new 2011 Limited on November 26th didn't get to ride it. The dealer is storing the bike until spring.
I appreciate the advise guys.... I'm still not certain which way I'm going to go. I like the look of that Corbin but I think I want a 2-up. The thing that concerns me about the reach seat in the 2.5 inches it will push me forward. I don't want to feel like I'm sitting on the tank. I'm starting to think about the Harley Sundowner deep bucket... I really just need to drop about 1.5 inches and I should be fine.. So many different ways to go!
Side note to Cornhusker.... Is the pic of your bike at the Harley dealer in Lincoln?... looks familiar.... I'm a traveling musician and come through Lincoln quite a bit. I'll be playing the next two weekends at their dueling piano bar.... come by! We'll have a beer and talk about seats.... haha...
Sure enough, Frontier HD in Lincoln, NE. I ended up going to a solo seat, Danny Gray Speed Cradle Solo and it works GREAT for me. My bike looks nothing like the pic. here on the site now. Still working on winter mods. 103ci with 255 cams and Black Terminator A/C. Gloss Black Powdercoated the Nacelle, light bars and lights front and rear, All smoked lenses except headlight, filler panels in rear, black rails on top of bags with smoked lights, Heritage bars and still going. Not done yet, had to send a couple pieces back to Powdercoater and may make some other changes.
When I first got my '09 RK, I could not flat foot either.
I had MCC do their $40 mod on my stock seat. That combined with a pair of Harley riding boots (Sears sells them for a lot less than HD) did the trick for me
I kept the seat when I traded in the '09 for the '11.
That's me in the avitar. Feet flat on the ground

Reason: Added some stuff
Lots of good advice here; and if your still reading, this is what I ended up doing. I'm 5'
6"- say 260lbs, or say short and fat. Reach seat shoved me too close to foot controls and jammed up nuts. MC modifide seat {orignal} still wasen't enough. So lowered bike 1"
took original modified seat and cut off obout 1-1/2" off both sides of pan ,trimmed foam,
recovered. Now my knees are slighty bent with feet on ground without biker boots. Seat feels just as comfertable as before but haven't been in saddle more than 2-3 hrs yet.
