Default Screamin' Eagle Stage I Air Cleaner Kit

I have a question on this kit. I was looking at the instructions on the MOCO website and found it odd. It said to remove the fuel tank. Is this really necessary? If thats the case Ill just go with the Arlen Ness Big Sucker kit. There is an installation video on their page for their kit and they dont remove the tank. Any one who has installed this kit and would like to give feedback would be appreciated.

It is not necessay. There is a braket that mounts to the top of the throttle body. It has 2 allen head bolts holding it in. You can heat up and bend an allen wrench and get it to work, or you can do what I did, I took an old allen wrench and cut about 1/2 inch off the end and epoxied it into a 1/4" drive socket, It works really good.

I think the later model bikes don't even have the throttle body bracket. My 08 did not have it and I installed the heavy breather with no problems whatsoever.

It makes it a lot easier if you simply lift the rear of the tank up so you have more room.
