well first off would like to say Thanks once again for all the info. I went and rode several used bikes (2008 RK classic anniversary, and same street glide) and I also rode on 2009 street glide. Was big difference for sure. Choice was much easier once I got on the 2011. We (Girlfriend and Me) rode a 2011 RK classic and 2011 Street glide. Both had power pack option, 103 engine, ABS, Security etc. I tell ya it was really hard to pick between the two. The fairing windshield on the street Glide was a bit too short for me and I got a lot less wind in my face vs the Classic. It was nice to be able to get the two out beside each other and compare. Street Glide was about 1500 more and some times liked looks on Street Glide better but other angles was the Classic. Radio was nice but the Nastalgic look on the Classic is just awesome. I really thought that the Glide looked like it meant business. I was more comfortable on the Glide but Girlfriend said she couldnt tell the difference. Dealer said that I was exteremly lucky to have come in when they had the Black Glide with 103 and would be last one they could get this year because was so popular. I was sure I wanted a black bike no matter which I chose. They did not have th Classic in black. After some dealing and the fact trhey could do my small modifications I wanted before I left I settled on the Glide. It had pegs for passenger so I had them mount those on Highway bars and put floor boards in back so everything matches and they added pass back rest for me before I left. Im very happy with my purchase and think I did enough research that I will be happy for years to come. Harley Davidson Cool Springs just outside of Nashville was awesome to deal with. I will eventually go back for stage 1 upgrade and to chnage the exhaust most likely to Vance and Hines but will see once Ive rode the bike some. Not sure how to post some pictures on here but will figure out later..

Thanks
Chris

Tell u what'. It's just my opinion. I have had several Harley's now, and my favorite thus far is my 2007 street glide.

My SG rides smooth as ever and handles just great.

Now the 09 frame yes there is a difference and handles very well. But once I put a bagger brace on my 07 the bike tightened up where it lacked before.

My suggestion bud considering you never owned a Harley and if funds are an issue Is buy the bike you can afford first.

And like others said you would never know unless you had one of each.

If you can get a cheaper bike 07-08. Etc. You may have some extra dough to personalize your bike and make it your own.

Nonetheless do what you like. Welcome aboard.

I love my 07 SG and I would not get rid of it for the world right now, unless I could get into a brand new one that had as much money, blood sweat and tears into it for free or maybe 2000 grand lol. Since that's not happening I'm completely content.

Good luck.

had 07,08 and 09 electra glide classic, std.and road glide..wife has 09 street glide.you "feel the difference in the frame when u push the bike hard in turns.60-70-80mph.early frames flexed-felt like the bike wanted to "walk" out on u.if youre not gonna ride it hard, doubt you will feel the difference.
