I took my 2009 Roadglide to the dealer for it's annual service. I had noticed the engine light flicker from time to time without any problem. When the tech rode the bike after the service the light stayed on and the bike went into the limp home mode. He hooked it up to the computer and the problem is with the throttle position sensor.
May have had the same problem -- Instruction (to the tech, from the MoCo) was to replace certain connectors and wiring to the ECM. "Limped" several times on my 2011 since I picked it up. Never left me stranded, always reset after (5x ign on/off), more of a nuisance than anything else.

Could you please explain the 5X reset procedure?
Thanks

That is all I know now. Anyone experience this?
thanks
My '08 Ultra did the same time. First couple times it stopped after I had checked some things out such as ignition reset, plugs, wires, etc. The it would run fine for a while and go into Limp Mode again. The last time it was running fine until I did a rolling stop at a stop sign and when I took off I was in Limp Mode again. I limped to the dealer (only a couple miles) and it was my throttle position sensor. It was covered under warranty though.
My 09 EG Classic did it too. I never did the 5x thing, but after I pulled it over & shut it down for 10 seconds, I fired it back up & it could be fine for 2 months, or it could do it again in another 2 miles. It was a warranty thing. It's fine now. It was corroded connectors.
