Default heated ride gear

I,m looking into heated ride gear, and was wondering, How much heated ride gear do you need if you are riding an ultra in 20* weather

ALL YOU CAN GET! Seriously, a full face helmet, heated jacket liner, probably heated gloves. A good pair of heavyweight longjohns under your jeans would be a big plus. Gerbings makes a full line of heated clothing.....even snowmobile suits...which might be the thing for you. Think about what the windchill factor is at speed if the ambient air temp is 20*. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Once it gets that cold, I don't ride. Ice can be a real problem in any sub 32 deg F temp - also, I find very little pleasure putting on all of that heavy clothing - just takes too much away from the enjoyable part of riding - hard to feel the controls too - like the brake and clutch. I do have a heated jacket liner and gloves which I can heat with two separate thermostats - all Gerbings - which I used in my younger days. If you are sure about riding in that cold weather, heated clothing is a sure bet - along with separate thermostats for the liner and gloves. Heated grips don't even come close to a set of heated gloves.

20 degrees C would be perfect. 20 degrees F - are you serious?

In 20* weather, I use a heated jacket liner and heated gloves. On the bottom, I use a pair of thin polypro drawers, jeans, and chaps. I use a novelty helmet, do rag, and fleece gator over my face, since have a windshield.

I use a heated jacket, gloves and pants with a full face helmet. I have Harley brand clothing that are made by Gerbing and can be purchased through one of the discount dealers cheaper than Gerbings. I would recommend the dual thermostat. If I could do it again I would have to think hard about the heated overpants from Gerbing. The ones I have now fit under my jeans and chaps as they need a wind break to be effective.
