Default RG Custom handlebars

Just curious, picking up a new 2011 sedona RG custom in a few days...if I don't like the angle of the bars, are they easy to adjust? I'm on a 08 rk classic now and you just pop open the little cover on the bars and can adjust easily. Appreciate any feedback.

That is exactly right.
The retaining clips on the black plastic cover plate are at the back (closeset to the radio) & front (closest to the tank). Use a putty knife to pry open the cover plate, beginning at the back. Be gentle and go slow - you will be fine.
When you loosen the Handlebar retaining bolts, BE CAREFUL, do not let the handlbars rotate too far down & come into contact with your tank.
Dents are bad - very bad.

I don't use a putty knife, I remove the 2 screws on the side of the speedo and tach, gently pull the top cover out of the slot in the bottom(closest to the tank) and then the top will just pop out of the bracket

Wow-thanks for the nice links..I'm not sure I'll be ready to tackle some of the projects you did. One simple question on the rider backrest bracket. I have one on my 08 and I know the bracket for 09-up has a different part number. Looking at yours, it appears that the metal link that attaches to the bracket and then to the frame may be just a little longer than the 08 setup. I know it is only 29 bucks but...I've wondered if I just kept the 08 and see if it might fit. I'm trading the bike anyway so I"m stripping off things that might be of use on the new one.

No putty knife! Take out hex bolts then easily pull off the guages. Takes minutes to adjust the bars. You may find yourself buying new bars though . Alot of options out there for you. You may like the Heritage bars a little better.

Congrats on the new bike!

(By the way... strip everything off you can prior to the trade. Sell them and get your money back if you can't use them otherwise you're taking a loss on them)

My thoughts exactly. Any thing I can use I'll keep and eBay the rest or list in forums classified

I can't imagine adjusting the angle of the the bars will make them more comfortable.
Congrats on the new scoot, I got a feeling you will enjoy it.
