Default Sears red jack & EG or Ultra

Where is the best place to position this jack? The pad won't fit all the way into the cross-member and it looks like it needs to be back a little more to balance. TIA

I have the same jack and use it under my EG. I position the pad against the cross member and it seems to balance pretty good. The straps that came with the jack are worthless so I bought a 4 pack of ratchett straps and it's a lot steadier.

I have an 05 ultra with the same jack. I can get my jack under the crossmember and it balances great. I will admit that I have to stand up the bike and wiggle the jack in but it will fit. Under the crossmember was the only place where I felt comfortable about the balance. Do the 06's sit lower?

I bought a Sears red jack to use under my Tourpakless Road King. I did not like the way the bike rocked due to the crossmember issue. I took it back and bought a different brand lift that has arms that fit in the crossmember, plus has a wider and longer frame as well, plus raises another 1 1/2 inches higher. There's no need for tie down straps unless you are pulling off a wheel. It is Northern Tool lift. It cost me 99 bucks. The last time they had them, they were 69 bucks.

Sounds like a Pit Bull. If so, IMO, they are the best designed frame lift on the market.

Went to McCormick Place in Chicago this past spring for their motorcycle swap meet and there was a guy selling a frame jack for around $200. When we walked by he was sitting on the bike (a Harley dresser) and was rocking back and forth indicating that the bike was very stable while it was on the jack. I don't remember the name, but there were a lot go guys walking out the door with one.

Do you have a NT part number for that jack?

No, I do not have a part number. Someone asked a while back. After much searching, I found it listed on their internet site as a discontinued item. However, I saw them at my local store a while back. They may have been old stock, though.
