MP3 Problems
First off this is my first touring bike, rode softails in the past.
I have been burning mp3 files as data CDR's using Windows Media Player (Vista). My problem is some songs will not play, just skips the track. It appears to be random, of the multiple CD's made, some songs will play on one CD and the same song will not playing on another. At first I first thought is was a particular artist, I could never get any of my Stevie Ray Vaughn songs to play, but that is not the case with the latest CD, only two of four of SRV songs will play. Anyone had this problem, or have a remedy to correct this?
Thanks,

In addition to what you read on the above thread I think some things that pertain to your particular problems to do / check are; try a different brand of media, burn at the slowest rate and don't try to cram the maximum songs that will fit on the CD - back it off a little. If your music management / burning program says that 175 songs will fit - try 150 or so.
These are some of the work arounds that have worked for me but still some CDs will have a glitch and a song or 2 won't play.

i am happy with 8+ music on a disc ..

I just wanted to pass along what I did to correct the issue of the CD player skipping some MP3 songs......
After reading through the threads and comments by others I realized that the art work was culprit. I used WMP to remove the art work but still had the same problem with some MP3 files. After a lot of research I found a little program that removes all the art work and other bs that is not needed, an MP3 Tag Remover called ID3KILL. I downloaded it and ran it (very simple to use) and it removed all those unwanted files. I also downloaded MP3Gain and ran it on the MP3 files so I could make the volume levels the same. Burned another CD with WMP and I'm now good to go. NOTE, make sure WMP is set to not "Retrieve additional information from the internet" before burning, this can be found under the Library Options....
Others may have an easier way but this worked for me....
