finally got my SG back together, and me and the wife were out for a ride, hit the interstate, and went to pass someone, downshifted to 5th and got on it..
and the clutch started slipping!!
i onyl have exhaust, SE stage one air cleaner and the stage 2 tune
cant be making enough power to slip the clutch
got about 13500 miles on the bike
i put a new cable on it, and i did adjust the clutch in the primary as well as on the cable.
running redline primary fluid
im wanting to set fire to this bike lol
i get one thing fixed something else goes wrong..
anyway any guesses?
do i need to try and do another clutch re adjustment?
When I replaced the bars and put a new cable on, I had to do a couple of free play adjustments on it while things "settled in". Will check and adjust again this week now that a couple hundred miles are on it.
Just re adjusted per the manuals specs.. In the primary and at the cable. Going for a ride. Hopefully it fixes it, if not maybe its time to try a different fluid, then maybe new clutch if that doesnt work

I doubt that it's an oil problem. Redline is good stuff.
I have a 2011 FLHTK w/103. I, too, had a 5th gear clutch slip that I thought just needed an adjustment. It turns out that H-D has a silent
recall going on with the TRAP DOOR BEARING. They ( H-D ) have an upgraded bearing that will be in all of the 2012 /103. You need to go to the dealership and have them call TECH SERVICES AT H-D for the NEW BEARING # 8970A. I had to do the same thing and now my scooter goes like the wind in 5th & 6th. Hope this helps you and everyone else on the forum.

My Limited was slipping in 3rd or 4th I pull a bushtec trailer. I figured it might have contributed to the slippage. (I have never had a clutch issue before) but I figure since I'm prepping for Sturgis I'll put the performance clutch in. that was about 7000 miles ago no more problems.
