Looking for some honest opinions about the Road Glide. I currently have a 2004 Fatboy, that I have bagged out. I love the look, but am looking for a true touring bike. I located a 2004 Road Glide, one owner bike, at a dealership. It is priced right, and I feel I can negotiate a good deal. I have never owned a Road Glide, so I am wondering what people think of them. Thanks in advance for chiming in.......
I had an '08 model for three years and really enjoyed it. Took a bit of experimentation with windshields and fairing lowers to get the wind management 'dialed in', but the 55k miles I put on it were largely trouble-free and a great pleasure.
love mine. i rode both street and road glides before i bought mine. on my short demo rides, i couldn't tell that much of a difference between handling characteristics. just something about it being different drew me in. but if you want to be accepted amongst the forum members here, you should get a black street glide.
..... Road Glide ?
.... spacious cockpit feel, very stable out on that long road towards nowhere in particular.
...... i wouldn't trade mine for anything but a brand new, fully dressed Yellow one. ...... {hint, hint .. c'mon Willie, i'm'a waitin' for a yellow RGU!!}
