I've read the most popular articles on the forum, but still can figure this out. Any help would be appreciated
I've pulled the red grommet back...
I've pulled the white piece forward. I've poked picking tools into the small round holes while pulling back on the wires... But nothing... Am I doing this all wrong?
Use the shank (not the fluted end but the end that you stick in the chuck) of a small drill bit that just fits into the round hole. push it in straight and firm and you will hear/feel a slight "pop" then with the tool still in the hole pull the wire from the rear. Worked for me every time.
Take the white pc completely out, use a paper clip the get pins out, there is a small barb on one edge of the pin the has to be depressed to allow it to come out.
BTW the service manual shows you how to take apart ALL the wiring connectors.
Thanks. I tried to remove the wires with just the white part pulled out a fraction, but wasn't having luck. It was good to have a visual of whats going on when it is out, so now I know.
My Svc Manual is on my iPad and it was dead, good to know its in there. Kids playing too much Angry Birds...
