Jack it up and then put a block of wood under tire and you can change out both at same time

i used a small floor jack to put under the rear tire, that way you can move it up or let it down if need be.

If you are replacing with the same size it can be done on the ground 1 at a time. We just swapped out my buddies SG for Progressive 940 and had to put it on a jack because the 940 are 1" longer unloaded and then they "sag " to the same lowered height as the stock SG shocks.

On a side note I rode my friends bike and the 940 Progressive shocks are a big improvement over the stock air set up. Id really like to ride a bike with both the HD premium Touring and Ohlins to see if I can tell the difference .

...jack it up just a few inches--- careful that if you are working at the back you don't shift a balance point and the bike nosedive forward.

so just a couple of inches.

I have a wedge shaped block of wood which I use to position the wheel in relation to where the shock eyes are positioned.

old air shocks? store up right to keep the oil in, a little tape over the fitting for dust

----- drain all air from the system before starting, to keep the oil inside the shocks/lines

cool,

watch for tire bottoming out in the fender, it'll eat up your wiring,

if so,you have to rewire the taillights etc.
