It's glued with some sort of black adhesive. Not very good though.

I wouldn't use blue loctite on these screws. Purple loctite is the trick if you don't want them vibrating out. However, I've always done mine by feel and don't torque them to the inch pound specification. No problems so far.

I'm on my second Klock Werks 8.5" on my '11 Ultra Classic. The first one developed spider web cracks on the two ends, and I swore to the dealer that I didn't tighten them too much. So now I've had the second one for two weeks and it has done the same thing. And I promise you, I have only barely tightened the screws so they are snug. I'm blaming the windshield; it couldn't possibly be my fault!

The instructions I got have bold “print do not use loctite!”

Could be the difference between plexiglas (acrylic) and the better material Lexan (polycarbonate)?
