anyone else had this? my 09 has one, its on the left side at the neck where the factory wire clamp is, the big wide one thats rivited to the frame. dealer is saying it broke due the usb wire i chased from the seat to the fairing for my phone, but im not seeing thats the problem. ( maybe it is, but i doubt it)
I had that problem. Several other people have had this problem also. There was a thread on it not too long ago. You may be able to do a search and find it.
yeah, thats my take also, crap. ill have to see if i can post the pic. im also gonna call my case number again and tell the what was found and ask why they wont warranty it with all the other reports of the same thing.
just looked at mine this am, it was thru the wire protector but no wire damage. Put tape on it for now, next time I'm at the hardware store I'll get a piece of tubing to protect it. Thanx for the heads up.

from the pic the tech sent me mine broke right at that big clamp on the neck. it seems there is a connector there, right at the clamp from what he said, im gonna send the pic to the rep thats handling my case tomorrow...
My '09 Road King has 3-4" of extra wire above the quick connect when the bars are turned full right. My bike is a police model, but I would assume the ABS would have the same cable routing. Please post a pic if you have one, I am always finding new things that are different about the police bike.

do not put tape on it! do not do anything! take it to your dealer now and have them fix it! tell them about the reports here on the same issue!
they didnt break easy for me, but i got them to give me the ESP coverage and only had to pay for the tow and $6 in parts. but i had to really push that fact that there is no way what i did could have caused the wire break. the stock wire comes out of the protective sleeve at the clamp thats rivited to the neck, and its against the clamp, just turning the bars will cause the break in time.
