Well, I don't know. I'm perfectly happy with my 96" Road King. It has plenty of power for me and jumps up to speeds way beyond the speed limit in no time at all. Never have a problem pulling away from traffic.
Maybe a V-Max would satisfy your need for power more than a Harley will.
Hey guy, check with some of the site sponsers here I'm sure they can give you some direction. Fuel Moto is one but there are plenty here. There seems to be plenty of guy''s running those cams without ay complaints ,maybe a good tune will help. Good luck with getting the results you are looking for. Jim
You need to add some compression, get the heads flowing, and put a cam that will work with the combo. You already know that.
The 555 is a good cam and is the cam of choice for the Fuel Moto 107" kit. Pretty good results reported for that combo. Add heads to it and another 10/10 seems to show up.
I'm running a science project 103" with CP flat top pistons, Head quarters heads, TMan 590 cams, stock throttle body/injectors, and a Road Rage pipe. Getting 114/120 with a really good tune.
Your goals can be reached. Stick with a proven package from FM, Tman, Headquarters, etc. Best way to achieve your goal.
I do believe that you have a cam designed for a significantly higher RPM range than you are using. Sometimes too much of a good thing can be counter productive. Even the Woods 555's may be a bit too much for how you run your bike.
Just came off the fm site looking at the 107 kit they have and the dyno #s with the tw555 cam and stock heads looks real good the only thing is the cylinder strong enough to take that much power and heat ??? can you safely take that much out of a stock cylinder ??? the combo is close the jack pot head pipe and the v&h power duels are somewhat the same I think they use a heavy breather I could do the work in a day and then get it tuned . It could be that it just needs a good tune and I am get to far ahead of myself. Has anyone had good luck with the se 254e cam set??? Or do you think this could be most of the problem
