thanks fireaxxe....thats some sound advice......and you seem very educated on this....as do the other guys that have commented....but like i say...my bike didn't sound like this when i bought it until it got about 4,500 miles.....and getting progressivly worse...i could'nt imagine if my bike gets to sounding like bill the punk rep....his bike was just awful......wich im sure he is riding that bike only for the purpose of saying..." see....all harleys do this..".....thats all i want is a simple resolution.....im not asking for any free **** or anything thats not coming to me....just a good sounding engine like i bought....like it was when it left the floor.....guess i'll wait and see what the numbers look like monday....before i decide to oficially lose my mind...lol

This is what kills me when someone asks "should I buy an extended warranty". Moco doesn't even honor their 2 year warranty! Why throw money away on the extended one?
Gary D.
Exactly! That is what I learned on the first new bike I bought several years back and got screwed into an extended warranty. Told them to shove it second time around.

No problem. Harley makes a great product when compared to the rest you'll get her right.
i wish i would have kept my bike i traded in also.....and when i say he has denied fixing 3 bikes this week...i mean he has denied fixing 3 bikes this week all with the complaints of loud ticking noise from valve train...they are aware this an issue in certain bikes....but arent prepared to fix them.....mind you the manager of the dealership has acknoledged that my bike is making an excessive ticking noise as well as his mechanics....all are in agreement that my bike shouldn't be making this noise....so its not just im whining or don't realize bikes make noise as he stated......even the manager and his mechanics were surprised....or at least acted surprised....this guy is a real punk.....and im screwed into either keeping the bike and listening to it get worse....or paying more money and taking a chance on getting another bike that they won't stand behind...
I had an issue with a front wheel that was peeling chrome and bubleing, Customer service said tech support said "It looked like corrosion/ Care issue" No Fix. This was under my 2 year warranty.. I will not ever buy a New Harley and telling everyone my experiance with harley.. If this is their service on New Bikes I'll stay with the older ones. Harley will lose alot of my Money and who else's who's had problems like you and me.. Good Luck on your issue's... p.s I was playing around with oil Filters and tried a CarQuest 84148.. Made allot of difference in my 2010 Limited.. It is made by Wix..

I think I would have to stop riding if I had to ride one of those.
First off I'll apologise to Sweetglide 103 for hijacking his thread.Hope the moco works it out with you.My '07 Road King was noisy.Rocker arm shafts had a little too much end play.wasn't a tick more of a chirping sound. The '10 Limited was an extremely quiet running motor.
Dionico,My thoughts exactly when I first saw one. After talking to some avid riders on Visions I encountered out and about the last couple of summers, checking the bike out extensively, and a couple long test rides I couldn't resist.Loved all my Harley's over the last 4 decades but not afraid of a little change in my latter years.Guess the Visions not much for stylin' at Bike Night but sure likes the big slab and twisties.I'm out
