Your signature states that you have 12's. Was that on the blue bike? If the pic's you posted are with the 10's as you said...thank you! That's what I wanted to see and makes myself believe I want 10's over the 12's. BTW how tall are you and what seat are you using on the 09 SG? Thanks again.

Thank you. I love bigger apes. 16"-18" depending on the bike. Its what's comfortable for my back. The stock bars on my EG are crazy low compared to what I prefer. But tall apes would defeat the whole reason I bought an Electra as opposed to a Road King like I had origionally wanted. I ride year round and that fairing and the wind it blocks is the bees knees for cold weather. I really want to go as high as I can and still keep the wind from blowing up my coat sleeves. Sounds like 10"s may be the way to go.

The blue street glide is my wifes ride. and yes it has 12" bars on it but a different design.
Mine is the black street glide, and it does have the 10" bagger bars.
I am only 5'8 and using the stock seat, my arms are just below my shoulders when cruising down the hwy.
Also I got the bars from Hill country custom cycle
http://www.hillcountrycustomcycles.c...-Kits-C62.aspx
If you call them ask for Brian let him know that Alberta Craig sent you.
I have ordered 4 sets of prewired bars from him and they have all been perfect.
The service they provide at Hill Country is second to none. Imo

Thanks for the info. 10's are looking like the one's I'm going to go with. I checked HCC site and I didn't see PYO MBB listed. Do you need to call them to order PYO MBB? Also did you order the bars pre-wired? If so were you satisfied with the work finish? Thanks!

All bars I have orderd from HCC have been awesome, all have been prewired and no problems at all. It is nice to deal with a one stop shop like them, Clutch cable, brake lines, bars, Thundermax tuner. I get it all from them.
Only on my black street glide I should have gone with chrome bars, chrome switch housings, and Black switches. But the switches I can do on my own someday if I want.
Just call their toll free number ask for Brian, or ext 8
You will LOVE those bars.

Dew Me....Looking to here how the install goes when you do it. BTW were did you order the 10's from? Another question I had was has anyone ordered and used the Paul Yaffe Supersize Kit? I'm checking prices and also looking for a one stop shop to order the bars, cables and everything I need to install the bars.

Where are the 6'3" guys out there with 10's or 12's. Can you use the stock mirrors? Trying to decide best route to go. Never used anything but stock bars before. Tks.

I ordered everything from a Harley dealer in Florida that I have a working relationship with. I'll have to ask if I can share what I paid. I will tell you I've done business with Dr. V-Twin b4 and would definetely do business with them again. They are a Forum sponsor and hook us up. 10's you don't need a Supersize kit but +2 (or even +4) is a good idea on clutch. 12" I think you still do not need wires but you need clutch and brake. Don't quote me on that.

Stock mirrors on an SG? I'm hearing no way on 10's. Maybe 12's.

I keep reading that with the 10's you don't need to extend the wires but only the clutch cable so that it will run through the fairing. If I don't extend the wires, once I re-install the connectors does anyone know if the connectors will still mount on the inner fairing bracket like they are now? I just would hate to get the new bars and clutch cable and start the install and have the front end tore apart only to find out I need the extension kit for all the wires that will be routed through the bars. I'm going to check with Dr. V-Twin and see what they have to say but the wire extensions. Thanks!
