Thanks paulster, pics are great but you look a little young to have your license.

The little dude looks stoked to be on pops' bike.

The reason I'm askin for pics of the 10" bars is my dad hates wearing gloves and I can't sell him on a set of bars that are gonna set his hands up above the fairing.

Thanks bud, The two things in my life I do What I do. My World.

Good luck with your dad, keep working on him, might want to buy him a set of gloves and put it on the bars wrapped under the tree for Christmas.

The man's been riding for 40 years.

I'm not gonna change his habits with some gift wrapping haha

So, in regards to gloves.
They do sit right at the top of the fairing, but I'll be honest: I almost never wear gloves and don't really feel the wind on my hands.

Will he? I dunno. Maybe. If he's that picky, he might.

As far as gloves go, I will wear them when it's cold. However I would be wearing them when its cold even if I still had the stock bars.

Gruamach, thanks. That's the exact photo I was looking for. On my last two bikes ('86 FLH and '05 RKC) I had 12" apes and were great, but on my new bike ('11 Ultra Limited) after my seat gets done I may go 10's. If I don't have to change out clutch or ABS crap I'd be happy.

Default PY 12" monkey bars vs fairing mounted mirrors

Does the position of your arms block the mirrors?

Not with the 12". Actually can see them better for me. The factory bars put the mirrors view at my shoulder. Now with the 12" the mirror view is actually under my arm, no head lean required, perfect.
