You can also wrap your nuts with a rabbit pelt because if your nuts are toasty everything else is secondary...

Snowmobile mittens...warmest by far...you don't really need your fingers to operate any buttons or anything on the bike??? unless you screw with the radio or an ipod or crap like that...
Gerbings is what i wear...even unplugged they are the warmest ones i have.

Right now Gerbings is having problems. They are still bringing their business back from over seas and their customer service/warranty service sucks big time, it is non existent. I just returned two pair of Gerbing's gloves to Revzilla, one pair worked a little the other not at all. Revzilla said no use working with Gerbings at this point so just send the gloves back for a (full) refund, even though I have used one pair for a couple months. Bad for Gerbings, Very good for Revzilla. At least for the time being, I would skip the Gerbings and look elsewhere.

My brother that lives in MI got me a set of snowmobile gloves. I had to take the thin liner glove out of the big one as it felt too bulky. They block 100% of the wind deflecting off the mirrors which I believe is one of the main culprits of riding in cold weather. Now if I turn my stock grips above 3 on the 45 mile commute my hands will actually start sweating. I will add that I don't ride below 40* though. I have a hard time finding a glove that will allow some wiggle room for my fingers to keep the circulation going.

I'm getting a pair of long, gauntlet gloves but they're not heated. If I need heated gloves...then it's too damn cold for me to ride. I rode in 43* the other day and while it wasn't that bad, it the coldest I've ever ridden in.

If it's 45 and sunny or above I like to ride as long as the ground is clean (not a bunch of sand in the turns, etc. ). I am still trying to find a pair of gloves under 50 that don't cause my fingers to go numb.
