So far so good man, they did the $30 stiffer springs or plates, clutch is a bit harder to pull in but i can live with that. It was that or spend another 250-ish to get a new heavier duty clutch.
Here's a list of available clutch springs. I, along with many others, have gone with the 98A spring. There is a noticable increase in clutch pull but you get used to it real quick. I was having slippage problems in fifth gear at moderate to heavy throttle and installing the 98A spring cured it. My Cousin has the 37951-98 SE spring on his and it's STIFF. It feels as if the cable needs lubed real bad.

I don't see the reason to buy a new bike.. Seriously, if you have a solid touring rig why not just upgrade it to be what you want? The last few updates to the platform are not that significant and none of the shortcoming in the earlier models cannot be overcome with a little investment and work.
Yeah a shiny new bike is nice, but if you have been taking good care of your bike it should still look pretty shiny and clean like a new bike.
I did a 107" build, Axtell bored stock cylinders, 20 degree pistons, baisley heads, SE pro 50mm throttle body, feulling oil pump, se cam plate, b lifters, se compensator, woods tw-408-44 cams... Smooth acceleration in any gear / speed, 38mpg, estimate 110/120, haven't dynoed the bike yet, I have a thundermax ecu.. My buddy has a dynoed bike with a very strong 95" he has 102 / 110 and I start pulling away from him by the time we hit second gear.
