Getting a new 012 Ultra Limited, with the talk of heat & power what should come 1st, run it for a while or start replacing exhaust sytem, stage 1, cat etc
It is way easy to spend money then later find what you have bought isn't working for you- then spending again.
a HUGE consideration is that many of the common modifications to air cleaner and exhaust ( and altering the ECM or adding a tuner) may void your 2 year warranty. ( even if dealer installed- they promise it's covered, get it in writing- the H-D parts and access catalog clearly points out which parts are not street legal and don't comply with warranty restrictions)
I do modifications myself which are reversible should i need go to the dealer during the warranty period.
So just ride enjoy, mull over what you would like changed, take your time.
From what you said sounds like it is ready to go as is.
I have learned over time to leave the thing alone awhile .
Unless there is just something I need to change so I can ride it.
after 10-15K I have a much better Idea what I might need or want to change.
Any other mods are just because I like it that way.
I agree with mk, ride it for awhile till you get to order a set of headers and mufflers. You will find that the bike gets very hot and feels chocked down for power. Another great test to do since your bike is new is to look at the back head pipe now and look at it after 5k miles. You will find that after 5k it will be dark blue from the inlet to the cat. This is from the extreme heat buildup! I'd stop in the fuel moto shop and take a look at the jackpot exhaust systems to cool the bike and open it up.
As mentioned in the above posts, try to ride it for a while to see what you really need. I didn't like the heat when I did my test ride. I talked with several people at the dealership and I was given several options. I went with a fan option that helped, but after riding I still had too much heat for my liking. Since I ride in the winter as well, I like the heat now. So be careful what you ask for here. I did add the FL-Xied and they really helped remove a lot of the heat for me. So I am staying with a stock configuration with the FL-Xied. Easily removable if I have to take the bike back for warranty work. Don't get too caught up in what everyone else is doing. Take it slow, you just might like the bike stock. A lot of people ride them bone stock from what I have heard. So buy it, ride it, and enjoy it!

Since I had past experience with the TTS tuning system, I had a new one waiting when I purchased my 2012 Ultra.
The tuner alone will help and the TTS system can be used on a pure stock or modified bike. It won't do all that much for the heat issues as those seem to come mainly from the cat (IMHO).
Like the others have suggested, wait awhile for the other mods...the new 103's sound different...you might find it sounds/performs OK.

Good luck!
Agreed! TTS is a great product with a lot to offer. I put on my 12 limited alone with hi flow a/c, and woods 777 cams. What a difference !!! I got the bike up on blocks now, changing the headers and pipes. I hated the heat issue in the summer and wanted a little louder pipe.
