Default My amp bracket

I finally got my amp mounted. Sturdy as hell! The new speakers get hear in 2 day days! Too bad I'm too stupid to be confident how how to wire the thing. I got the power & ground all done now I just need to figure out how to hook up the speakers to the stock head unit. Mechanical things are easy, electrical, not so much.

Why would you want to hook the speakers to the stock head unit when you just installed an amp?

What speakers did you buy? Is that you mount or did you purchase it?

Thanks

I ended up with some 3 way Rockfords. Well see. The UPS man hasn't gotten hear yet! That's my bracket. Very SIMPLE design.

LoBoy,

This is so simple that you will be amazed! The amp came with a total of 4 harnesses. Grab both that have the grey and white wires, you will not use the ones with purple and green. The one without RCA tips is used to wire your NEW speakers to the amp connection labeled OUTPUT. The wire with the black lines is always the negative and solid is your + wire. Next grab the harness with the RCA tips and cut off those tips. You will then connect these to the wires that previously connected your speakers and this harness connects to the amp where it states INPUT. Just remember to match up the white and grey pairs. Meaning if you use white for your right, then make sure it's white on the input and outputs.

I'd be happy to help further so let me know. Please disregard any typos as I'm using my iPad!

Great job on the bracket by the way! *If you made it yourself that is WAY harder than wiring it up!

If you haven't already check out my RF install thread: *https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...installed.html
