I know there are threads covering amps but I couldn't find any info on the this one. The Boom! amp mounts under the tourpak, why does this one mount in the fairing?
I have mounted these amps before and it fits nicely in the fairing. but don't buy it. spend the extra money for a $175.00 pbr300 Rockford Fasgate amp and buy some $100 speakers hogtunes stuff isn't worth the coin
I have the Hogtunes AMP, speakers and tweeter pod. All great. Velcro comes with the AMP so you can slap a piece on top of the radio and on the bottom of the AMP. Holds great. No need for a bracket.
So thanks for the feedback. I have found it difficult to find the specs on the H-D amps. I'm not sure about mounting one under the TourPak, seems like an easy pick for a thief.
I guess under the TP would work, but I would be concerned about the elements. I get caught in rain a lot and I'm not sure how it would hold up. Plus, there is seriously a perfect spot for it on top of the radio in the fairing. I don't see a need to worry about someone stealing it or it getting messed up from weather.
