Default Burly Slammers Lowering Kit

Has anyone used the Burly Slammers lowering kit? I have 2000 Road King and I'm thinking of lowering the rear. Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.

The burly lowering blocks are inexpensive and lower the bike by changing the mount point and angle of the shock- full travel is retained.
Lots of guys use them, and there are a few brands ( RammJett on Cave Creek stocks the burlys I think).
if you don't like you can just take them off and ebay them. ( you can always find take offs there and on the hdforums classifieds)
cornering clearance is slightly reduced, you may drag your jiffy stand on left turns.
I had the white brothers kit ( same thing) on my evo bagger when i bought it- I removed them cause of the occasional scraping.
They went with the bike when I sold it, the new owner had me put them on for him, they are still on there

I see the slammer name is now also used for the shock kits, lower shocks will have a firmer ride, which you may like for sportiness.
you'll need to see how much lower they take you as too far and cornering is compromised and the wiring inside the rear fender for the lights can get chewed up by the tire. the front end kits are pretty easy to put in, progressive suspension is another brand for these.
with less spring travel most kits will offer progressive springs which offer more resistance the further they are compressed

I have the Burley Slammer kit on my '07 SG. You can have the front springs lowered 2" and with the shorter shocks(progressive) that came with the kit.. you can adjust the load to whatever suits you. I prefer a stiffer ride so that doesn't bother me.
I have had no problem with "bottoming out" or the rear wheel rubbing the wiring harness to the rear light. For the hell of it tho... instead of leaving the wiring in the stock position, all I did was move the wiring to the side of the rear fender.... plenty of clearance there.
